Biografi
Dr Rahul Chaturvedi is Director, International Research and Market Development at Tuberosum Technologies Inc., Canada, with over two decades of experience in the global potato industry, including nearly 18 years with PepsiCo (Frito-Lay). He is based in India, supports the company’s Canadian operations remotely with visits to Canada three to four times a year, and leads its research and development agenda across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
He began his career in the potato industry in 2005, after returning from the USA and joining Frito-Lay India. During his tenure he held leadership roles across South Asia, the Middle East and Africa, introducing and commercialising several potato chipping varieties. He helped establish contract farming systems and aeroponics-based minituber production facilities and advanced agronomic practices through technology transfer. His initiatives reached more than 25,000 potato growers across the region.
For the past three years he has been associated with Tuberosum Technologies Inc., leading its True Potato Seed (TPS) and conventional clonal breeding programmes, with a focus on breeding solutions that enhance potato productivity, sustainability and resilience.
